VOCES8 Appoints New Soprano

VOCES8 is delighted to announce the appointment of Emily Dickens as the new Soprano in the group. Emily will be replacing Cath, who after four years of dedicated service has decided to leave VOCES8 to pursue her other musical interests. It is always sad when a member of VOCES8 decides to move on, especially when they are a founder member, however we wish Cath all the best and are very excited about the prospect of Emily joining us.

Emily was a founder member of the Winchester Cathedral Girl’s Choir and a finalist in the BBC’s Choir Girl of the Year 2004. Currently a member of Trinity College Choir, Cambridge, Emily will graduate this summer from Cambridge University and immediately commence her duties with VOCES8. Emily performed outstandingly well in her auditions and has already made a brilliant start with the group in the rehearsal process. She begins on the concert platform with the group in late July.
